Iconic hotel. Expensive for what it is but few other options in the area.
Breakfast was excellent. Desk staff really helpful in finding us a great day trip to islands further out.
Tried to eat in the restaurant in the evening but was ignored fir half an hour whilst others who entered later than us were served, so we left to eat elsewhere.

Good hotel in perfect location with unmemorable breakfast
We liked the location, and the room was clean, with a nice décoration. There was a balcony, which was a very pleasant surprise. The sea view was very enjoyable. The beds were comfortable.
It was 2 small beds put together, so it wasn't super romantic. Good for sleeping but not great for cuddling. The breakfast was not great. We went to a bakery afterwards to compensate.

This hotel is cozy and elegant and the staff really impressed me, they were helpful and friendly without it feeling forc
The property is a cozy and old with candles burning in lanterns placed here and there. I really enjoyed the old carpets, beautiful decor and cozy atmosphere. The rooms have old wooden floors and large windows. The sauna was really cozy with a small window facing the seafront. This is the kind of property you really wanna stay in when going to a place like Vaxholm as it enhance the old archipelago village vibe you want but with an elegant and luxurious feel to it.
The bed could’ve been more comfortable, in fact next time I go I’ll make sure not to book a queen bed as it’s just two twins put together and there’s not even one single mattress on top but instead two separate ones which makes it impossible to use the bed as one big unit. It’s better then to pay less for an actual single bed or a little bit more for a king bed. I was also placed in the only room where there’s a large ventilation pipe outside of the window , which caused a buzzing noise during the night. Seeing as the hotel wasn’t fully booked I would’ve appreciated being placed in a different room and I’d ask not to be placed there again for my next visit.
